PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – KYW Newsradio has learned that four days after the Pennsylvania Supreme Court seized control of Philadelphia Traffic Court, a traffic court judge has been ousted — for allegedly showing naked pictures of himself to a female worker.

A source within the First Judicial District tells KYW Newsradio that traffic court judge Willie Singletary was escorted out late Thursday under orders of the new head of Traffic Court, Common Pleas judge Gary Glazer.

The source says Singletary had shown naked photos of himself on his cell phone to a female government employee.

And Judge Glazer, according to the source, is now recommending that the state Supreme Court begin proceedings to have Singletary removed from the bench.

Singletary has been in the news before: when he was campaigning for Traffic Court in 2007 and was caught on videotape promising favorable treatment in Traffic Court to those who donated to his campaign.

He also had had his license suspended because of $11,000 in unpaid traffic fines.

It was just Monday that Pennsylvania chief justice Ron Castille announced the shakeup at Philadelphia Traffic Court, to end what he says was a culture of corruption and rampant ticket-fixing for the politically connected (see related story).

An attorney for Judge Singletary confirms that the judge has been relieved of his duties, but denies that Singletary was forced to leave the building.

The attorney also says he has received no official explanation for the actions against his client.
