Bernardini Leads Pennsylvania Past Marist 84-71
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Tyler Bernardini led five players in double figures with a career-high 30 points in Pennsylvania's 84-71 win over Marist on Friday night.
Henry Brooks and Zack Rosen scored 13 points each, Rob Belcore scored 11 and Miles Cartwright chipped in with 10.
Penn (6-6) trailed 18-12 before Bernardini sparked a 26-18 run to help the Quakers take a 38-36 lead into halftime. Bernardini made four 3-pointers during the span.
The Quakers would continue the run in the second half, building a 54-39 lead with 13:40 left.
Bernardini knocked down eight 3-pointers, falling one short of his career high.
Devin Price led Marist (6-6) with 15 points and seven rebounds. Price struggled from the field (3 of 12) and from 3-point range (0 of 5) but made 9 of 12 free throw attempts.
Penn shot 54.7 percent (29 of 53) from the field compared to 39.3 percent for the Red Foxes.
