67-Year-Old Woman Struck By SEPTA Bus In Olney

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A woman has been hospitalized after she was hit by a SEPTA bus in Olney.

The accident happened just before 7 p.m. Tuesday night at the intersection of 5th and Godfrey Streets.



Police say a Route K bus struck the 67-year-old. She was trapped for a time under the tires until rescue crews could free her. 



Authorities say her leg was crushed.

She was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center where she's said to be in stable condition.



Police accident investigators are looking into what happened.
