Still Alive, Eagles Savor Win Over Jets

By Tom Maloney

A day after the Eagles beat the Jets 45-19 at Lincoln Financial Field (see game story), Philadelphia Eagles' head coach Andy Reid said he will now be "a huge Jets fan this week," ahead of Saturday's Jets-Giants game.

That's because a Jets win in that game is one of the four things that must happen for the Eagles to win the NFC East.

The Eagles have to win in Dallas on Saturday,  of course, and then they have to beat the Redskins the following weekend at home.

The Giants, the following week, then have to turn around and beat the Cowboys in North Jersey.

On the injury front, the news isn't too bad.  The only bit of concern seems to be with cornerback Asante Samuel's hamstring, though when he mentioned the injury Reid said it wasn't too bad and that he should be ready to go against the Cowboys on Saturday afternoon.
