PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Women’s Professional Soccer lives to fight another season.

The KYW Philly Soccer Show, with KYW’s Greg Orlandini and co-hosts Eli Pearlman-Storch and Mike Servedio, sit down with Philadelphia Independence defender Kia McNeill.

In Part 1, McNeill gives the players’ perspective as the nation’s top women’s soccer league is resanctioned to play in the 2012 season.  To remain the top-flight league, WPS must expand from five teams to six in 2013 and to eight teams in 2014.

In Part 2, we talk about the Philadelphia Union, which has signed another player this week.

Jimmy McLaughlin, a Malvern, Pa. native and a product of the team’s youth academy, joins the senior team after his freshman year at Colgate University.  He scored a goal and three assists, and was the only freshman to start every game.  We talk about how Jimmy will fit with the team going forward.
