CHESTER, Pa. (CBS) - Police in Delaware County are looking for a killer who fatally shot a gas station owner during a robbery of a gas station in Chester Friday morning.

The shooting took place at the Sunoco A Plus gas station at 9th and Kerlin Streets at about 4 a.m.

Before being taken to Crozer-Chester medical center, the victim, Mohammed Fareed, 56, gave police a description of the gunman who fled the scene right after the shooting.

Fareed lost consciousness on the way to the hospital and died a short time later.

The suspect remains on the loose.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Chester Police.

The Judicial system is failing to protect the people (tax payers) that pay for it!
there are NO deterrents that scare these low life’s. If a cold blooded murderer can avoid the death penalty for killing a police officer, how do you think the rest of us are going to feel safe any more? It shouldn’t be up to a judge or a DA to offer anything less than the death penalty for these types of crimes. The appeal process needs to be cut down to one, and only one appeal period! They should bring back the whipping post for most crimes and make the death penalty mandatory for unprovoked murders. It’s time to protect the citizens and stop these sleazy defense lawyers from prosecuting the victims!

I agree 100% with you grumpy. I can’t believe they’re having a rally for Mumia tonight. Public hangings would be a good deterrent IMO. Maybe, just maybe they will think twice if they know they will be humiliated in public for their mommas and all to see.
