VINELAND, N.J. (CBS) – Police in Cumberland County are searching for an armed suspect who robbed a supermarket Monday evening.

The robbery happened shortly after 6 p.m. at the Acme Supermarket located on S. Main Road in Vineland, New Jersey.

According to investigators, the suspect approached a customer service counter armed with a handgun and demanded money from an employee.

After getting an unknown amount of cash, the suspect ran out of the store.

The suspect is described as a white male, 5’8”-6’0” tall with a medium build and dark brown or black hair. He was last seen wearing wire-framed glasses and a two-toned coat thought to be grey and blue or black.
