PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia police and the FBI are searching for a suspect who robbed a bank in an upscale neighborhood early Tuesday morning.
The robbery happened at about 10:30 a.m. at the Wells Fargo Bank branch located at 340 S. 2nd Street in Society Hill.
According to investigators, the suspect entered the bank and presented a threatening demand note to a teller. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect ran out of the bank and was last seen headed east on Pine Street.
The suspect is described as a white male in his 20’s, 5’4” tall, with a thin build and was clean shaven. He was wearing a red Phillies baseball cap, sunglasses and a black “puffy” jacket.
Anyone with information is urged to call 911 or the FBI at 215-418-4000.
