Poll: Americans Unhappy With Obama's Iran Policy

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A newly released national poll suggests Americans are not happy with the Obama administration's approach to Iran, and the possibility that country could create a nuclear weapon.

The survey of over 2,500 registered voters by Quinnipiac University shows sanctions against Iran aren't changing things much. Peter Brown is the Assistant Director of the polling institute.

"By 60 to 33%, voters think that the US policy of using sanctions against Iran to try and stop them from developing a nuclear weapon has been ineffective."

So what should America do about it? The poll suggests by a margin of 55-36 that we should not use military action, but those numbers shift to 50-38 in favor of an attack if it's determined that sanctions have not, in fact, worked.

Should Israel make a military move against Iran, 46% feel America should support it, 6% oppose and 44% think we should just stay out of it.
