Flyers Fans Head To Wells Fargo Center For Black Friday Deals
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Black Friday sales have shoppers out in force and for people who love the Philadelphia Flyers, their early morning discount on merchandise was incentive to line up outside the Wells Fargo Center early this morning.
Director of Retail Mike Segars says it's a busy day. How many people were waiting at 7 a.m. when the doors opened?
Segars: "Probably about 250 (people)."
Reporter: "I guess you were pretty anxious to open the door!"
Segars: "Yes we were!"
Reporter: "Did they come through like locusts?"
Segars: "Yes, they came through and picked some of the racks clean when they first came in."
Reporter: "What was the first to go?"
Segars: "Probably the Jerseys -- the Winter Classic jerseys. Giroux was the first to go."
But hours later, there were still many happy shoppers, like Steve, finding what they needed.
"(I got a) Yager Sweatshirt, stick, I got tickets, another sweatshirt, Winter Classic stuff, keychains."
Reporter: "You cleaned up!"
Steve: "That's it! One stop shopping!"
Reporter: "Is any of this for you?"
Steve: "No, all for my kids."
