Checking out new amenities at Pennsylvania ski resorts, it's apparent that more skiers want to hit the slopes and be at the office at the same time.

Shawnee, in the Poconos, and Blue Knob, the state's most challenging mountain, have announced beefed-up Internet services this season, so guests can surf the snow, surf the web, and tend to business.

Most ski resorts now offer free Wi-Fi service.  Camelback even makes office space available for use between inspiring runs.

So, for a growing legion of fortunate workers whose jobs allow telecommuting, combining a getaway with a productive day is a snap.

(I saw it coming years ago, when a sleek pleasure boat I spotted in Baltimore bore the name "The Office.")

So, on this Thanksgiving Day, being able to cut the chains that once bound us to desks, offices, and studios is truly something to be thankful for.
