CHERRY HILL, N.J. (CBS) - If you want to show your appreciation for the troops Thanksgiving morning, grab a flag and head to Cherry Hill.
This is the eighth year of “Thanksgiving For The Troops” hosted by the Eric Spevak family of Cherry Hill and the Jewish War Veterans Post 126.
New Jersey State Senator Jim Beach and his WW2 Vet dad will be there as 270 troops arrive for their surprise Thanksgiving and the more the merrier.
“This year we’re hoping that everyone will come out and join us at 11 o’clock at the Palace of Asia Ballroom on Route 70 East in Cherry Hill to welcome the troops from the Joint Base.”
The 2011 Thanksgiving for the troops is dedicated to a 22-year old Cherry Hill New Jersey native Marine Lance Corporal Jeremy Kane who gave his life in Afghanistan almost a year ago.
