PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The web is the refuge for those who want Black Friday deals but do not want to brave the lines or the elements. Now there is a new player offering online discounts this holiday season.

“I know I like to do my shopping in my fuzzy bunny slippers,” said Maire Griffin with Living Social. Griffin says you can stay in your PJs to scoop up coupons on Black Friday.

“Verizon Wireless  is going to be offering a great deal: $25 or $50 to spend on any device. OfficeMax is offering a great 10 for $20 deal. Sketchers has a great deal, and for every voucher sold, they’re going to donate shoes to children in need,” Griffin explains.

It is a change for LivingSocial, which traditionally offers online deals from local retailers.

Griffin says shoppers can buy coupons Friday, on the LivingSocial site or through their smartphone app, and spend them at stores or online after the crowds die down.
