Man Shot In Head During Robbery In Kingsessing

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia police are searching for two suspects who robbed and shot a man in the head moments after he got off a SEPTA bus early Tuesday morning.

The shooting happened at about 2 a.m. at Florence Avenue and Ruby Street in the city's Kingsessing section.

According to investigators, the victim had just stepped off of a SEPTA bus when he was approached by two armed suspects. The suspects robbed the victim and then shot him in the head.

The victim was rushed to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he is listed in critical condition.

Investigators believe the same suspects also robbed an off-duty police officer moments before the shooting at 51st Street and Cedar Avenue. The off-duty officer was not injured.

So far, no arrests have been made. Anyone with information about the suspects is urged to call 911.
