WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) – Police in Delaware are investigating the suspicious death of an infant.
Police were called to a home on Kirkwood Street in Wilmington at about 5:15 a.m. Friday morning.
When officers arrived, they were told by a relative that a three-month-old male infant had stopped breathing.
The officers on the scene immediately began CPR on the infant and were replaced by the paramedics, who continued CPR on the victim until they arrived at A. I. Dupont Hospital.
The infant succumbed to his injuries at 5:28 a.m.
The incident remains under police investigation.
