PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - In my humble opinion this is a great time of year to work out but it is also one of the most dangerous times of the year.

Here is why it is so good.

The weather is cool and it is very easy to keep your energy level up — let’s face it , when the temperature is ninety it can be a bit overwhelming.

Unfortunately few things are perfect. A major problem is that exercising in the early evening when many people are returning from work can be difficult and even dangerous because it gets dark early and visibility is bad.

If you are going to go for a walk or a jog make certain that you wear light clothing. A reflective strip is a great idea.

The other concern is that you need to be concerned about patches of ice. My other concern is if you have not been exercising and are over forty make certain that you have had a check up with your physician.
