GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP, N.J. (CBS) - Police in Atlantic County are investigating a fatal accident that claimed the life of an 11-year-old boy on Sunday.

A little after 6 p.m., Galloway Township police were called out to Collins Road between Colonial Court and Society Hill Drive.

Authorities say 11-year-old Marcus Daley was playing with friends in the area when he ran into the roadway in front of the vehicle. The driver of the car, 23-year-old Lee Jones, of Galloway Township, immediately stopped and cooperated with police.

The victim was transported to Atlantic City Medical Center Mainland Campus where he was pronounced dead.

The accident is being reconstructed and investigated at this time. Details on charges have not been released at this time.
