When courts write laws based on the acrual definition of the word “accident”, you might see a change. Accident means beyond one’s control, etc. Something like a blown tire, which did not blow due to ignored wear, etc. There’s a difference between a car with bad brakes and one with defectrive brakes. Bad breaks are the responsibility of the driver and they should be held accountable, just as worn tires are their responsibilitry. Speed kills, just like tailgaiting. We’ve all done it and we need to take a hard look at our habits.
