Suspects Rob Teen Of $5 Meatball Sandwich In Delaware County
DARBY BOROUGH, Pa. (CBS) – Police in Delaware County have arrested two Philadelphia men for their roles in the robbery of a meatball sandwich from a teenage boy.
The incident happened October 29th as the 13-year-old victim exited a deli along Myra Avenue in Yeadon Borough.
When the two robbers approached the teen, they searched his pockets and demanded his money. But the victim told the suspects he had just spent all of his money on a meatball sandwich, so the suspects took the sandwich and fled the scene in an SUV.
The teen, who was not hurt, still had his cell phone and called 911. He reported the theft and gave police a description and license plate number of the suspects' SUV.
Police recovered the SUV several blocks away and arrested the two suspects. Twenty-one-year-old Rashawn Mallory and 22-year-old Antray Graves Jr., both of West Philadelphia, are facing charges.
