The rain is falling, heavily at times this morning. The temperatures have dropped into the upper 30′s north and west of Philadelphia with a mix falling now in Reading and Allentown.
The trend and the path of this system continue as before except a bit more cold air might be pulled in sooner. That would tend to increase the snow totals a little.
Let’s stay with our general ranges, though melting on warm ground and elevation enhanced snow will make for some big differences on the already generous ranges we have put on the snow totals (i.e., big difference between 8 and 12 inches forecast in the Poconos but spots will probably get both numbers).
The storm leaves fairly quickly overnight, Sunday morning might have frozen spots on the roads if the overnight winds don’t dry out the pavement. Sunday will be in the 40′s; cold because of the snow cover.
