Child Struck In West Philadelphia Hit And Run

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – An eight-year-old boy was injured in a hit and run accident in West Philadelphia on Saturday night.

A little before 9 p.m., the child was struck by the car in the 1400 block of N. Hobart Street in West Philadelphia.

He was taken to CHOP, where he is reportedly in critical but stable condition.

Witnesses at the scene report seeing a 2001 silver Buick Park Avenue with a cracked windshield flee the scene shortly after the accident.

Police later located the vehicle at 58th and Media Streets.

There is no further information available at this time.
