Campus Philly Holds 'Create-Adelphia' Job Fair To Lure Design Students

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A first of its kind event was held at the Comcast Center Monday evening, connecting college students with internships and jobs in the design field.

Attendees of Create-Adelphia, which was put together by Campus Philly, were given information about internship opportunities at 22-local business, and the opportunity to network with an Expert's Gallery, consisting of 10 creative professionals.

"It's our way of providing a way for these design students to stay in Philadelphia, meet an employer, get an internship, and become the future of Philadelphia's design," said Campus Philly President, Deborah Diamond.

Event's Guest Speaker Marc Brownstein added that the event also sends a message to students about changing the image about design jobs in the city.

"There are great companies and great jobs in Philadelphia. Just look, five-years ago did you ever think of Philadelphia as a restaurant town?" said Brownstein.

Campus Philly will also be holding an online job fair the last week of this October.
