PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The winner of season seven of Bravo’s hit television show “Top Chef” opens his first restaurant in Philadelphia Saturday evening.

Fresh off his season seven win of the reality food competition, “Top Chef”, Kevin Sbraga spoke about his newest endeavor.

“One of the things I learned on “Top Chef” was to really go with what I know, go with my gut and take the risk, and that’s what this restaurant is.”

The new restaurant is appropriately called Sbraga.

“This is modern American food, no limits to what we do. Just great ingredients.”

Kuznits: What’s the restaurant’s signature dish?

“Probably the meatloaf. We’ve gotten great feedback and great response about that. It could be the friend chicken, I don’t know. The guests will determine what that is.”

Sbraga described how he settled in Philadelphia.

“Top Chef was filmed in D.C. I live in South Jersey, but Philadelphia is my home. I mean, this is where I’ve always dreamed of having a restaurant.”

Sbraga is located on the corner of Broad and Pine streets.
