Police: Cab Driver Stabbed In Camden During Argument Over $7 Fare

CAMDEN, N.J. (CBS) - A Camden Yellow Cab driver was stabbed during an argument over a $7 fare Thursday night, police said.

Police say the cabbie suffered multiple stab wounds and is in stable condition. He's expected to be interviewed by police later Friday.

The incident happened in the 500 block of Mechanic Street at about 8 p.m.

The passenger who stabbed the cabbie fled and remains at large. Police say they are reviewing surveillance tapes in the area which captured the incident on tape.
