Man, Woman Critically Wounded In Sunday Morning Shooting In West Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are investigating a shooting incident near 63rd and Market Streets in West Philadelphia just after 10:00 a.m.

A sergeant at southwest detectives says two people, an unidentified man and a woman, were wounded in the incident and taken to the hospital of the University of Pennsylvania for evaluation and treatment.

Witnesses say a man in his late teens or early twenties was seen running from the scene towards Upper Darby.

Detectives say the incident may have been the end result of a robbery attempt.
