SEATTLE (AP) — Freddy Adu and Brian Carroll scored to help the Philadelphia Union beat the Seattle Sounders 2-0 on Saturday, giving the Los Angeles Galaxy their fourth Supporters’ Shield for the best regular-season record in Major League Soccer..
The Union (11-7-14, 47 points) moved into first place in the Eastern Conference.
Seattle dropped to 16-7-9, while Los Angeles is 18-4-10.
The Sounders entered the game with a three-match MLS winning streak.
