WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) — Authorities say a man lost control of his motorcycle on an Interstate 95 ramp in Wilmington and was thrown 40 feet onto a street below.
Delaware State Police say 35-year-old Joshua Kinser was driving his Yamaha motorcycle on an elevated section of the on-ramp from Martin Luther King Boulevard on Thursday night when he struck a concrete barrier wall.
Police say Kinser was ejected from the motorcycle and fell about 40 feet onto the area of West Third and Adams streets.
Kinser, of New Castle, was taken to Christiana Hospital where he was admitted in serious condition.
Police say a preliminary investigation revealed that alcohol was a factor in the crash.
Authorities are investigating the incident.
