1 Killed, 3 Injured In Violent West Philadelphia Crash

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia police are investigating a violent two-car crash that killed one woman and injured three others early Thursday morning.

The deadly crash happened at about 2 a.m. at 51st and Locust Streets in West Philadelphia.

According to investigators, the incident began when one of the two cars failed to stop at the intersection. The car then struck the second car, flipped over, and struck two parked cars before coming to rest against the front porch of a nearby home.

The unidentified victim, who was a passenger in one of the cars, died as a result of her injuries.

Both drivers and another passenger in one of the cars were taken to area hospitals with minor injuries.

The accident remains under police investigation.
