The Philadelphia Cup Regatta Takes Place Saturday

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Get your cameras ready because after a 16-year-absence a sailboat regatta will take place on the Delaware river on Saturday.

About 80 sailboats from three local clubs will be competing in the Philadelphia Cup Regatta that will take place on the Delaware River near the Ben Franklin bridge.

"There's alot on the river and it's really great to have an opportunity to pull it all together in one spot," said John Brady, CEO of the Independence Seaport Museum at Penn's Landing. "It is showcasing sailing. It is  showcasing the Independence Seaport Museum. The clubs banded together to do this as a way to support the museum and its showcasing the river itself."

Racing starts at 9:30 a.m. Saturday and the last race is at 2 p.m.. For more information click here.
