BLOG: Free Mortgage Help For Citi Customers Next Monday

By Jim Donovan:   If you or someone you know has a CitiMortage and are having difficulty making the payments, a team of bank experts is heading to Philly next Monday to offer some free help.

CitiMortgage will be holding what it calls the "Citi Road To Recovery Philadelphia Homeowner Assistance Event," on Monday, October 3rd from 12 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Hilton at 4200 City Ave. 

CitiMortgage homeowner support representatives will offer one-on-one counseling to determine what solutions may be available.

What to bring:

  • Your list of questions
  • Documents to support your hardship (Copies of medical documentation, divorce decree, unemployment verification, etc.)
  • Pay stubs dated within the last 30 days, covering at least a 60-day (2-month) period for all borrowers
  • Most recent personal checking, savings, money market, mutual funds, stock and bond statements all borrowers
  • Proof of insurance and taxes, if not included in the mortgage payments
  • ·         Current property tax statement
  • Your mortgage loan number 
  • Full 2010 Tax Return (or 2009 with proof of approved extension) if you are self-employed, receive rental income, or are part of a partnership that requires a K-1 filing
  • Self-employed homeowners must provide a year-to-date Profit and Loss Statement with a balance sheet
  • If seeking assistance with your 2nd lien, please provide your 1st lien mortgage statement
