NEWARK, Del. (CBS) – Police in Delaware have identified the victim of a deadly stabbing that occurred this past weekend.
New Castle County Police have identified Alejandro Aravjo-Franco as the 32-year-old victim who was assaulted and stabbed during a physical altercation with his roommate.
The altercation took place outside of their apartment in the Abbey Walk Apartment complex early Saturday morning. Aravjo-Franco was stabbed multiple times in the torso area.
The victim was transported to Christiana Hospital and was later pronounced dead.
Investigators identified Jorge Ramirez-Acre, 29, as the suspect in the deadly stabbing. He is being charged with murder in the first degree and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony.
He is currently being held at the Howard Young Correctional Facility.
