SEPTA Offering Additional Service For Weekend Events

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – SEPTA is offering extra service this weekend for riders headed to some of the area's biggest events.

On Saturday, the Extra Local Broad Street Line trips include morning service to the Popped! Music Festival at the Liacouras Center, as well as the Hero Thrill Show at the Wells Fargo Center. Riders headed to the WFC Champions Shootout Tennis match, at 7:30 p.m., will also be able to take advantage of two extra EL trips scheduled for 6:28 p.m. and 6:38 p.m.

On Sunday, Eagles fans can hop on the Sports Express service on the Broad Street line starting at 10 a.m. Service will run every 10 minutes until kick-off at 1 p.m. Riders going to see "So You Think You Can Dance" at the Wells Fargo Center at 7:30 p.m. will have one extra EL trip at 6:38 p.m.

Finally, SEPTA will be offering shuttle buses on Sept. 24 and 25 on the Media/Elwyn and Airport Regional Rail lines due to ongoing track renewal work.
