Gold Rush Kiosk At Montgomery Mall Robbed, Suspect At Large

MONTGOMERY Twp., Pa. (CBS) - The Gold Rush kiosk at the Montgomery Mall was robbed at gunpoint on Tuesday afternoon.

Police say a male suspect made multiple encounters at the Gold Rush kiosk before attempting the robbery.

In the first encounter, the suspect spoke to an employee about selling some gold. Police say, he then presented a Florida I.D.

During the second encounter officials say the suspect approached the store employee, displayed a handgun and demanded money, he was able to get away with an undetermined amount of cash.

The man is described as a Hispanic male, standing about 5 feet 10 inches tall and during the first encounter was wearing a yellow striped golf shirt and jeans. During the second encounter he was wearing a black sweatshirt and dark blue jeans. Police say he has brown curly hair and light stubble on his face.

According to Authorities, the employee was not injured and they're still investigating the incident.
