Fire In South Jersey Home Kills Four Dogs

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, NJ (CBS) – Four dogs have died inside a home that caught on fire in Egg Harbor Township.

Firefighters were called to the home on Shadow Avenue around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday evening, where they managed to extinguish the fire after about half an hour.

Four dogs inside the house died during the blaze, and the living room and kitchen are heavily damaged.

The homeowners are on vacation in South Carolina, and their relatives, who are staying at the house, were out to dinner when the fire occurred.

No injuries have been reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
