BLOG: Cruise Discounts, But You Need To Act Fast

Looking to book a cruise?  Several cruise lines are in the midst of fare sales right now with some offering extra discounts on reservations that are made through tomorrow.

Holland America Line is offering up to 50% discounts on sailings.  Many trips also offer free or reduced prices for the third and fourth passengers in a cabin. Discounted air and free upgrades are also available on select sailings.  For example, seven-day Caribbean cruises begin at $449 per person.  Bermuda and New England and Canada sailings also start at that price.

Norwegian Cruise Line is running it's latest "Freestyle Dash" promotion.  It includes up to $250 in onboard credits for new bookings fleet-wide. The credit amount is based on cruise length and booking category. The offer also includes a reduced deposit requirement for new bookings on trips to Bermuda, the Caribbean,Bahamas,Florida, Europe andHawaii.

Celebrity is offering a variety of upgrades and shipboard credits to passengers who book cruises in the coming month.

Cruisers who book from Sept. 19-25, 2011, can grab savings of up to $1,000 per stateroom on select 2011 Christmas and New Year's sailings. Bargains are available on all holiday bookings except aboard Celebrity Century and Celebrity Xpedition.

Passengers who book select four- and five-night Caribbean cruises on Celebrity Millennium by Sept. 30 can upgrade from inside to ocean-view staterooms for $49 per person; upgrades from ocean-view to veranda staterooms are $99 per person; and upgrades from veranda to Concierge Class staterooms are $49 per person.
