Scott Arboretum Plant Sale

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Plant sales are always fun, but when you can see the plants already grown up before you buy it's even better. And that's exactly you can do this weekend at the Scott Arboretum Plant Sale at Swarthmore College.

Take free mini tours around the Arboretum to see what the plants you're considering look like in the landscape. This sale includes all kinds of tried and true plants plus unique trees, shrubs, vines and perennials, including many great native plants you just don't find at ordinary garden centers.

This sale is free and open to the public, Saturday afternoon and Sunday - or become a member or special friend to get first pick of the plants at their preview events. The Scott Arboretum Plant Sale Handbook, which is filled with facts, cultivar details, and growing tips, is handy even if you can't get to the sale.
