PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A special event is scheduled in Collingswood, New Jersey Thursday that’s designed to raise funds to restore the reputation of pit bulls.
Thursday night at 7 p.m., the ZuZu Gallery in Collingswood will hold a silent art auction to benefit Pinups for Pit bulls, a non profit that works to reestablish the pit bull’s reputation as America’s premier companion dog.
“We do an annual pinup calendar every year which features various beautiful women who pose with their dog to help shed light on the issue of pit bulls in the media,” Deidre Franklin is the founder.
“I personally believe that they’re fantastic dogs. I believe they have gotten a lot of bad publicity,” says Alison Hunt, owner of the ZuZu gallery.
Shorty Rossi from Animal Planet’s PIT BOSS is said to be a special guest. Go to zuzujewelry.com for more information.
