The Facebook Messenger app keeps you and your friends connected all day long. Unlike BBM, and GChat, the Facebook Messenger works on all phones so you don't have to limit your social circle to the friends with similar devices or the sometimes tiresome text message.

You can also post pictures so your friends can see where you are, because without pictures it just isn't Facebook.
