PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia Police are working to identify a man who allegedly sexually assaulted a robbed a woman near Temple University in north Philadelphia Thursday morning.
According to police, a 20-year-old female was walking on he 2200 block of North Watts Street at about 4 a.m. when she was approached by an unknown male who put a handgun in her back.
The suspect allegedly forced her into an alleyway behind the 2300 block of North Park Avenue and sexually assaulted her before fleeing with her purse, which contained a cellphone, credit cards and an unspecified amount of cash.
Police say the man is described as a black male, 25-30 years old and about 5 feet 7 inches tall.
