September Is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month

Check out our guide to the basic you need to know about prostate cancer. Then learn about free testing and how to get involved in the race for the cure.

Free Testing: The Drive Against Prostate Cancer

Zero, the project to end prostate cancer, understands that busy schedules make it hard to fit in regular doctor visits, but early detection is critical. That's why Zero offers the Drive Against Prostate Cancer, the only nationwide mobile prostate cancer-testing program. The drive tours from coast-to-coast and border-to-border to offer free prostate cancer testing. More than 100,000 men have been tested since 2002, saving as many as 11,000 lives by alerting men with abnormal test results to go see their doctor.

Great Prostate Cancer Challenge Race Events

The Great Prostate Cancer Challenge, the premier men's health race and event series in America, is a heartfelt tight-knit community activity that brings together athletes, cancer survivors, physicians, caretakers, family members, and friends.

Zero, the charity committed to ending prostate cancer caused deaths, is hosting run/walk events in 27 cities nationwide with the mission of raising awareness and funds to provide research and free testing. In 2011, they aim to raise more than $1 million.
