Phillies-Marlins Games Both Moved To September 15 Double-Header

PHILADELPHIA (AP) – The Florida Marlins and Philadelphia Phillies game Saturday has been postponed by rain.

The game was originally scheduled for Sunday but was moved to Saturday afternoon as part of a split-doubleheader because of Hurricane Irene’s expected path up the East Coast.

The Phillies and Marlins will play a day-night doubleheader on September 15. The first game will start at 2:35 p.m. ET, with the second game scheduled to start at 7:35 p.m. ET.

The idiots scheduled the game for 1:05 Saturday, had people come down anyway because they thought they could get the game in and then threw in the towel because they hesitated. They knew full well the team had to leave the city before the airport closed, so why the dilly-dallying? Given this joke of a tropical storm, they could have played both games safely Saturday!
