Newborn Taken From Hospital Of The University Of Pennsylvania Has Been Found, Amber Alert Cancelled

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A two-day-old baby taken from the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania by his mother has been found and the Amber Alert has been cancelled.

The newborn boy, just two days old, was found in Southwest Philadelphia at about 4:30 p.m. The baby, who was in need of medical attention, was taken out of HUP about noon Thursday. An alarm sensor was attached to the child’s umbilical cord.

According to police, the child was taken by his mother, Tonya Dixon, 39, who was allegedly fearful that the Department of Human Services would take the baby away from her.

The baby has been returned to HUP. Further details were not immediately available.

How stupid is this woman–she knows that her baby needs medical attention, why would she remove him from the hospital?

DHS should take this infant from her!!!!!

I hope that the baby can be found before she does something to it, or before the baby dies due to his medical condition.
