ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (CBS) – Authorities in Atlantic City are investigating a two-vehicle crash that left two people dead and others injured.
At about 3:15 Saturday afternoon, Atlantic City Police and emergency crews responded to the scene along Route 40 where they said a Ford Taurus wagon and a Hummer H2 traveling eastbound toward Atlantic City collided.
Two of the eight passengers in the Ford, a 7-year-old female and 13-year-old male, were pronounced dead at the scene, according to police. The other six occupants are listed in critical condition. The driver of the Hummer was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
The names of the victims have not been released at this time. No motor vehicle or criminal charges have been filed as of this report.
The investigation is ongoing.
