PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia police have arrested one of their own Thursday after authorities said he allegedly assaulted his former girlfriend.

Police said Officer Sean Jang, 28, is charged with Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault and other related offenses.

Jang is a four-year veteran of the department, assigned to the 18th District.

He will be assigned administrative duties at the Differential Response Unit pending the outcome of the investigation.
