Man Collapses On Street After North Philadelphia Shooting

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia police are investigating an early morning shooting that left a man hospitalized.

The shooting happened after midnight near Broad and Parrish Streets in North Philadelphia.

According to investigators, the unidentified victim was shot in the chest and drove around on his bike looking for help.

The victim stopped at the BP gas station located at Broad and Parrish Streets. He left there and eventually collapsed at Broad and Brown Streets, where police found him.

He was taken to Hahnemann University Hospital in an unknown condition.

Investigators initially were not able to pinpoint an exact shooting location.

So far, no arrests have been made and a motive in the shooting remains under police investigation.
