BETHLEHEM, Pa. (CBS) - The Philadelphia Eagles held their final preseason workout at Lehigh this morning. The team will break camp in the afternoon.
Despite the lack of off-season workouts and a training camp hastily put together thanks to the NFL lockout, Andy Reid was happy with what his team accomplished at Lehigh.
“It was really a demanding camp for the period of time, right from the beginning,” he told reporters today. “It was unique, but it was demanding. We were able to get some heat work in with the humidity, which is important for the beginning part of the season.”
Reid said his team is close to where is usually is at this point of the preseason. He also said his top unit will play the first half of Thursday night’s preseason game in Pittsburgh.
