NEWARK, Del. (AP) — Delaware State Police say two restaurant employees were forced into a refrigerator by four robbers.
It happened Sunday about 12:45 a.m. at the Friendly’s at the Peoples Plaza in Newark. Troopers say a man who displayed a weapon accosted an employee who was leaving with the night’s receipts.
The man forced the employee back into the restaurant, where three other men joined them and forced the victim to open a safe. A second employee was ordered to lie on the floor.
The men forced the two employees into a refrigerator and fled with an undisclosed amount of money. The two victims were not hurt.
