Teen Struck By Car In Northeast Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A teenager was taken to the hospital after being struck by a car in Northeast Philadelphia late Thursday evening.

The incident happened just before midnight at Martins Mill Road and Montour Street in the city's Lawncrest section.

According to police, a 15-year-old exited a SEPTA bus and was crossing the street when he was struck by a car. Eyewitnesses told police the boy apparently did not look both ways before crossing the street.

The boy was taken to a local hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

The driver of the car that struck the teen stopped at the scene. No charges have been filed.

The incident remains under police investigation.
