Store Owner Shot Dead In Wilmington

WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) -- A community market owner in Delaware was gunned down in his own store Tuesday night.

According to police, the shooting happened just after 7:00 p.m. at Johnny's Food Market on the 1200 block of Maryland Avenue in Wilmington.

Allegedly a customer of the store just opened fire, striking the store owner, police say.

It's unclear if the shooting occurred as a result of botched robbery attempt.

The store owner was pronounced dead at the scene.

No arrests have been made.
