(Arnold Schwarzenegger starred in “Conan The Barbarian” in 1982.)
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Our list of the week’s memorable videos offers both the current and vintage variety.
From 1982: Conan The Barbarian, the flick that put Arnold Schwarzenegger on the map. And while there are those dismissing the flick as a brainless epic, it of course focuses on a man who later became a huge box office star (“I’ll be back”), governor of a huge state, and the subject of a huge romantic scandal.
Of a more recent variety, there’s Rio, the animated kiddie flick about a macaw from Minnesota who heads to Brazil to find a mate, with characters voiced by Jesse Eisenberg and Anne Hathaway.
There’s also the 1986 thriller, The Name of the Rose, starring Sean Connery, now out on Blu-ray.
And look for Soul Surfer, the triumphant true story about a teenage surfer who loses her arm in a shark attack but eventually overcomes all odds to again become a champion.
